NEW! Nail Clinics

For the time being we will be holding two nail clinics a week. These are first come, first served. I ask that everyone practice safe social distancing while waiting. Masks are required. If you usually come into the salon with you pet, you will not be able to do so any longer. I am holding the clinics when Sharon and myself are at the salon to assist each other with the more sensitive dogs. Your patience is greatly appreciated as there are many of you that do walk-in nail services. It will take us some time to get everyone caught up and back on schedule. Nail Trim Days, Times & […]

Drop-off / Pickup Procedures

Please review and following guidelines to keep everyone safe and healthy. We appreciate your patronage and cooperation. EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 30, 2020 After careful consideration and in an abundance of caution, we will no longer be allowing customers into the salon. With the increase in cases and holiday get-togethers, I will be implementing strict check-in and check-out procedures, through the end of the year. Masks are required at all times, this is non-negotiable. Consultations will be done over the phone. I will be checking in all pets, including Sharon’s dogs. I will come outside. After I place our slip lead on your dog, you will take off all of your pet’s […]

Policy Changes Effective January 1, 2020

Effective January 1, 2020 The following changes will be effective the first of the year: 1. Business hours will be Monday-Friday 9a.m.-5p.m. (closed Saturday and Sunday) I realize this may inconvenience some of you, I will do my best to work with you on scheduling. This change is for quality of life for myself and Sharon. 2. We will no longer offer a discount for yearly schedules. Recent legislation is causing operating costs to increase significantly. The cost to be a legitimate employer is going up as well. To avoid another price increase so soon, I am making this change instead. I appreciate everyone’s understanding in this matter. If you […]

Meet Sharon, Our New Groomer

I am thrilled to welcome Sharon Zimny to the Sonnys Spaw family! She brings an amazing energy that pets gravitate towards, even the ones typically more challenging to groom. That’s pretty awesome! Take it away Sharon! “Please let me tell you a little about myself. I’m originally from a small town called Coxsackie in upstate New York, but I’ve been living in Oklahoma for the last 39 years. About 35 years ago I got a job bathing dogs a The Groom Closet. They soon started my training to become a professional dog and cat groomer and I’ve worked my way to being Shop Manager for the past 13 years at […]

Easy Nail Trims for Difficult Dogs with Harness System

This is Max. He has had a hard time getting his nails done, and before today, required sedation to do so. He is one of the many four legged friends I purchased my new harness system for. I am so happy I was able to get all four paws done with very little resistance. I have tried before and let me tell you, this boy puts up a fight, but he was 100% free of any medications this time. The Doggie Lift is an amazing, safer alternative for the not-so-willing dogs. I can do a 4lb dog all the way to 130lb dog with four different harness sizes to choose […]
